What is Ethnictity? Well ethnicicity is the type of group were nationality, origin, ancestry and language are taking the place of giving youa group definition. Name examples, Mexipinos Filipinos,  Mexican, American, Hispanic.

The thing is that looking through any appearence is hard to not be curious, or a chismoso of what is happening.

BEING PART OF BAYAN COMMUNITY

WHAT IS BAYAN? Well it is to me is a way to express our self from the hearth towards Filipino American Society.

WHAT IS BAYAN? Bayan To me is a way to express my self from the hearth towards Filipino American Society.  Being part of this community taught me so much about my own life as the same time I got to know my now many Filipino Barkadas  an amazing two wonderful class. The beginning of this great time in my linked class at South Western College was a little confused, thinking that I could be confused to be a Filipino, which I was totally wrong; however, I could think that I could have one ancestor that can give my grandmother, mom, may be I a Filipino look. Being part of Personal Development class, directed or instructed by Maria Abuan, who is also a Nice and beautiful counselor at SWC, has really caught my attention at this edge of the semester as in October the thirty of two thousand and twelve, for amazingly my three quarter of my education life has been influenced by four Filipino Americans Barkadas since I started High School.



I had a great time at Hilltop High School with my Counselor, Nancy Yamada. Who directed my classes schedules, in order to me to approach to my fist in mind major as a Architect; however, my mind was honestly defocused for the reason that in mind there was a thinking of making great money, Idea that later on I will let you know how I changed my mind.  After my freshmen year in High school, I had a new teacher called Alden Turiano, who have formed my second Filipino Barkada. Mr. Turiano when I first met him, he just began his career no so long time age, he was about 24 years old. Some change took place through the English program I was rolled in called, ELD which means English Learners Development. Due to some certain change in the program, we had a teacher change, so Mr. T had to teach a different class, although he seemed excited of being our teacher. this change took all my sophomore year. Just when I started my Jr year in high school, I had that privilege of being taught by a great Master, I can tell, because with Mr. Turiano, I’d learned not just English, but also I have learned to expose a quote presentation, which was an exercise to explain the meaning of it. Furthermore, Alden Turiano, prepared me and many of my classmates to an Interview, and in addition to develop a Resumé, which is a formal sheet with my personal Information with an objective, plus any skills, with job experiences. i learned to dress properly prior to attend an interview. That was just the beginning of my self being develop by this awesomest Filipinos Barkadas.

Six years later, now in time I can tell the experience I am taking with me home and to the next level in my college continuing education.  To be a part of this Bayan community in college, really takes my heart in place. Even though I have to work with my current job as floor polisher in an overnight shift, and part of a church community Victory Outreach, and now at Southwestern College, I am being grateful with my Instructors, who are two great folks, Professors Aronson, and Maria Abuan, really are helping me and many of my classmates, to be freely involved with each other.  They are honestly developing us as humans, by letting us know them, and helping us to get to know ourselves even more from what we know.  Through history I could learned what my home country and Filipinos’ Country’ was related to the Spain colonisation. this gave me a knowledge of how related we are, in the way of many names and words that we are sharing like in food. In fact my personal development, has gone into my self, my identity, gone into the real Me. Now I understand through all the learning community, that the focus cannot be money that a career represents, yes money is good, but the importance of our satisfaction to get the good feeling of what we  like to do is better. Thats is the one self we all should approach to, to obtain the total satisfaction from ourselves.

The Importance of Reading

MEATING AN AUTHOR OF A BOOK CAN MAKE READLESS PERSONS LIKE ME, TO  READ!!

Having a personal experience with an author of a book can wake up an interest to read from their book and some of the reasons can be because, we must think reading is boring, or sometimes we consider ourselves  weak or lazy readers that we prefer someone else to read for us. However, who is going to be there to read to as on all times?

I believe reading is important to the learning, as a matter of fact my grand mother eventhough she didn't had a great school preparation, or that she didn't went to high school and not even finished elementary school, she knows lots of information just by reading such as healingh preceedures, cooking, history, science, foreign cultures, and all of this just by reading books. My grand mother is an actual active reader, as a consecuence that she has an intellingence that  I believe reading books has made her be. She has gromn plants by following examples in reading, also in cooking tips. She will not forget were she leaves stuff. The richness of reading builts the knowledge  of a person in life. I think reading has power in life.

Sometimes I can't feel or tell why many good readers feels about reading a lecture, or a book. When I use to see people reading huge books like the harry potter book. I just don't know how much time I could spent trying to read the hole book. Recently as I have experienced a couple of book presentations, my mind showed up  an interest on the lecture to the poin of acquire both books I had read in the book "Filipinos in San Diego," which is about history of the first colonists or migrants in the State of California. When this book was presented I just wanted to have the money avaliable to purchase it right away to have a special signature from the authors.

Not long time after, I had an other experience with Ella deCastro's books presentation. As I was hearing from her reading, as a result I just found out how her book is so funny in the way she writes and defines every moment in the lecture. I felt so good and with a great priviledge to hear from the author's reading, for Ella deCastro is the author, I've noticed how easy she could disfocuse her eyes from the book and just continuing the narration of the story, that was to me a surprise, "well she knows what she wrote then I said."  A four or five year book preparation work, that is just the best book to read as it is not just any book, it is a book detailed to collect and remember and re-read it in the elderly future to our teenagers.

You may not, or either myself ever chose to think in a negative way of our own, because you are declaring the power to be it and in a how you are fully losted with that horrid that sets you apart. Never doubt that the influence of that power can bring dislike of many individuals perhaps in so many cases of people, where , school mates, and even family members who, tend to judge without thinking until they totally affected a live which has already gone for life; however, if we just could turn off that lack of power by saying "yes I  can, yes I'm special, there is always somebody for a body like me, come on somebody!,"



As an instance, there was a time in my life, when I was a kid, the Innocent one of course, when the world to me was just to sit down stay up quiet from the time when I was three years old. and I was so so quiet that I even had to repeat last level of kindergarten because of it. Imagine how clearly I can go over my life, as my personal experience of what makes me today, in spite of my tryouts of myself feeling rejected from the society, mostly in school where people was driving my thoughts, for what my appearance was, and what in me could be that might be affected to others and perhaps not be too pleasant to many today in time. For a decade my thoughts were involved of negative thoughts, a situation that holded me back to develop myself as a person or individual in society. Feeling this way made my self dislike me, because that power was taking all over me that I couldn't stop it, until I found a purpose that motivates me in the world of music.

 I think people can be experiencing for this same or some other reason, probably doubts of their Identity, or in a situation where a fighting parents, separate parents, or divorce  can take place, or etc. Many can find in by time the right path to growth and became better persons and some can go through a wrong path were they join gang groups, or start having a different feeling in drugs, and just becoming worse, where they are could totally be losted in them selves because of their problems.


 Music to me was a way to start getting positive thinking as I had the desire, to play music. The finances circumstances didn't let me have an instructor for music; however  a book in my hands challenged me of teaching me myself through it. I think that was the first positive thinking in my life, were I could completely feel better of my self and made me succeed in life. The power of a once weak guy has turned me now in to a Powerful successful now.





I want to encourage the many of the some out there who can go through negative thinking to start viewing your self as a blaze, as an overcomer of your own tryouts or problems, because once you past that line, all your life becomes a fun and a positive one in spite of anything else. Buliding your positive esteem will encourage you, It will motivates you to reach your goals and all you propose to have in your life, for positive thinking will bring positive benefits for life, like a good wife, or husband, kids, etc.  Because You have come your self as a magnet, rejecting negatives and bringing positive, so then you can have an amazing power to achieve what you have expect to.

Having a positive thinking can make you stronger, and an expert through anything you want to achieve in your life!!!

What type of bean are you?

Hey Blackie, or Blondie or Whitie, no matter if you are an african, an american or mexican? No mater if you are a Niger, a white, or brownie? What ever you want to call your self, or what ever you identify, there is no way that there is a perfect ethnic or race type, na ah ah aah! Somehow you suck, and in an other how you might rock. Hum its seen that you curious for what you just read, understandable, for you are a human. But guess what? You may read what's up. The only matter is that not every Niger or African American, Filipino, or any kind, could be together even as a differed group in society.

Well let me tell you what I believe, I believe that every brain or mind are different, like if every single head is a world. What kind of world is in your head? Your head and even my head are always changing overtime, it is like the world or Earth itself.

Do you know that mexican use to eat mexicans almost every time? Perhaps africans to africans, and so 

whites to whites. It is not like a certain type of food, but in the case of socioeconomic. Many mexicans in my 

case, as I am a mexican, we as a community share the quote known as, "El que no tranza no avanza," what this means is that if you don't cheat, you won't reach forward succeed. As a result from this situation, many in my country use to sell their job, or a certain tool or thing that is expensive.

 Not long time ago I had made a bad decision that made me angry about the person who cheated on me, this guy who is a dentist sold me his job for an expensive amount, his business deal was to make me ex rays of my teeth for the process of getting braces. This ex rays cost me with the appointment for about 320 dollars, a money I should never spent. This bad decision wore the first in my adult life decisions I've ever made. After I spent that money, I went on looking for an other dentist as a second opinion, it was the time when I saw my stupidness in making that expense with that dam dentists. In fact of what I am saying no mater if he is a mexican like me, he is not going to be a helper to his race specially in a foreign country, not only because he is an idiot who is dishonest; however, that is his world of thinking, and the way for him to succeed no mater how.

What type of bean are you? no matter what race you are the true is that we are all different on how we treat people, how we react to life, and how we are related to others. Your mind could be a size of a mice just because you think selling or dealing trash is just find, well that could be part of your life and personality, and that could be the way you'll end as  a worm could be growing and eating inside of your beanie mind, for cheating or stealing your own people. Some time is the way we react to life in a way of thinking to survive, many times  exceeding to the extreme of cheating or stealing your own brother. There is always going to be an area that makes us original persons, because we are not going to be the same in mind or thoughts or in the way to respond to situations.

Put your hands together:
Not even my left hand is the same size as my right hand, and not even my left foot is going to be the same as my right foot, because both pairs differ from size and appearance this is how I define the bod of a race or type of society, because what also is a block for being completely united is the way we think individually but most likely our socioeconomic, when we have grater money or not, having money to many makes them to show up what they own to the people that can't afford them at the time. Not every body might be like that, thats why we are different worlds in between regardless of our origin, but even in my family one cousin has a selfish mood while acting like a show up person with me and my brother, as he could have the top video games like game boy little electronic thing or PlayStation console, etc as his dad could afford them. That is the brain of showers and selfish people, in the point, even members in our specific group will be sometimes a head ache . But that is the why we are not the same, some are nice members of our origin society, they are even hard workers, who'll demonstrates a good testimony of our country, and many just blew it up.

What type of bean are you? Are you some one to get along with and be trusted? or someone who don't care for no body else but for your self?

Filipino Foods a mixture of Cultures

A traditional way to seasoning meat and food, a tasty way to prepare food with Adobo the many styles you can cook with adobo a traditional way of food brought to the Philippines an amazing flavor. Filipino is really a resolution for foods getting together as a way to have a delicious from every culture, combined from asia, and hispanic countries.

In every country food menus will never exclude rice as part of the family, rice is a selection eaten through all the world, and it is part of Filipino foods, ingredient such as the above Pork Fried Rice, mm sounds good. It is interesting how food internationally is practiced  in a different style in the Philippines. Filipino foods to me is a pice of every place, like there can be similar food from china, japan, as it seems  like that asia is in the plate as the same time as food known in Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, etc.

Bulalo dish looks the same as mexican dish, called Caldo de Res, a common food that brings the health back to normal, when you are with a cough or cold, it is a good source, and is most likely eaten in mexico in winter time, for it is a warm dish. 

Reach Your Potential

Do you know what is your potential? what is potential? Potential to me is the place or area where I can perform the most, for instance I'd could like to speak and I could be a good speaker, or may be it is not speaking my strength, perhaps it is drawing or developing a scene for a cartoon movie, potential is assuredly what your talent is wether is music, drawing, writing, teaching, etc. I believe I have a great ear although it is not the greatest looking ear, I feel that I was born to learn music by ear as the most succesful  thing in my life, I've enjoyed learning to play instruments. This some how let me think that I must have been born with a teaching talent, even though I still don't know or have a method learned to teach and develop musicians.



Music has became my passion, somehow spiritually, or faithfully. I came up to feel music as part of my soul fulfilling as I've done it with the purpose to make people feel the music being transmitted from the hearth towards a Living God. My life is being transformed from the first time I started playing an Instrument. Music has to do with Love in a way that it is about expression, demonstrating the way of thinking about a success or event. Music can be learned through inspiration, as a way of feelings to surf a melody from the inside of the heart to the played instruments. In this case my first loved instrument.

Since I was a child I always give attention to my uncle Armando Diaz, who used played the guitar long time ago and so far he still does it, even though we plays traditional mexican songs, he made me interested in performing music like him. At that time I was wishing to be able to play like him, but some how I'd never did just like him, for the fashioned music in my school generation. In my youth generation I used to listen more to soft music called pop, where music became more interesting, and more sweat to the hearing. In a way that time music, was mostly romantic and pretending to make  a girl falling in love with us through it.


Can you imagine how love can make your learning faster? As an example to my self I've learned to play guitar in a summer before I turned to my junior year in high school. But somehow I've didn't knew to play it a lot until, I met a beautiful female friend in my biology class. This girl persuaded my self to learned the instrument wave faster than before. The reason why, I've learned it faster was because I started to sing to her the songs as a way to surprise her and being romantic or attentive.

I can't forget my first love song I've ever played, and this was the first song I learned by watching and listening from a friend of mine plus the song lyric with guitar graphic or tabs for note pitching. I was so inspired through the feeling for the lady that next day I was already performing the song. Just to tell her that I liked her.

Even though that was last stage in my life, now I understand the importance to find in our talents a significance source of passion. Finding the passion in our talents will makes us achieve its potential, wether is teaching, swimming, screaming, and so on. If there is no a real passion then we might have just an Ideological thinking and a sort of illustration for the paid off benefit rather than being satisfy of the benefit to be glad for what we do or could be doing. Finding an inspiration for the gift  we were born with can really make an impact to others, for as you do the talent with passion and a good sense of humor,  that is transmitted to others and that is some how the best reward. I think that was the why I love learning to play instruments, for there is an inspired feeling that is making me reach my potential. A feeling that my uncle sealed in me for being a piece in music.

You might say what is the fact of all this? The fact is when we came up to like something for instance that you like singing, there must be a why you sing, I have notice people that when they sing they do not really pay attention to what they are singing, as a result that the song can't reach its potential because it is not in the heart. But once the song enters in the song, The singing of it reach a potential that you can even make the song yours, although it has the author's popular performance.

Doing something that passionate you can reach your expectation to be satisfy, and even more that passion could accelerate others to acquire your talent, as we can be part of a growing generation. Love for a certain talent or desire can make your career enjoyable and easy to understand. For me love is a big part for what we can do.
